ThinkGard is proud to announce the hiring of Michael Ramm as their New Client Relations Manager for Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. Michael will work in both public and private sector markets in the area.

As a 20+ year information technology professional Michael has seen many trends come and go. He’s worked in both the private sector as well as spending the last 11 years in the public sector. Previously, he served as the Director of Information Technology for a small municipality in central Alabama during the time when devastating tornadoes struck the area in April of 2011. At that point, Michael recognized the need for the city to implement what he calls a “proper disaster recovery plan”. After meeting ThinkGard’s CEO Paul Franks and CTO Kevin Fuller at a technology conference in 2012 Michael was convinced that ThinkGard’s complete business continuity and disaster recovery solution was “beyond proper” which led to his introducing DataGard Backup & Disaster Recovery to the City leadership. The city inked the deal and had their DataGard device installed and running in September 2013. Since then, they’ve also implemented the first new Video Evidence Locker for data storage of the Police department’s body & dash cameras.

ThinkGard’s CEO, Paul Franks says, “Michael is destined for success as his enthusiasm and experience make him the ideal evangelist for ThinkGard." ThinkGard’s Chief Technology Officer, Kevin Fuller says, “The fact that he’s a true IT professional who can help prospective clients work through their technical & logistical issues is why we invited Michael to join our team. He brings so much more to the buying process than the traditional salesperson."

Michael says he’s very excited to be able to spread the word about ThinkGard solutions because he’s lived life in the hot seat, without sleep, knowing what could happen without such as robust system in place. He’s also set an ambitious goal of installing Video Evidence Lockers in every police department he comes across!

Michael graduated from The University of Alabama and was very active in the Alabama Chapter of GMIS, including serving as President in 2015. He and his wife, Julie, live in Northport, AL with their two children.
