City of Riviera Beach Florida

June 2019,  The City of Riviera Beach, a small city of about 35,000 people was crippled by ransomware attacks. They paid nearly $600,000 in ransom to hackers who paralyzed the city’s computer systems. The relatively large ransom demanded from Riviera Beach suggests hackers have become emboldened by their increasingly sophisticated ability to target government agencies. Read More
