Due to the high attendance of ThinkGard’s last Lunch ‘n Learn style Ransomware Roadshow and the increased interest that business owners and IT professionals have today in protecting their data against ransomware attacks, ThinkGard has brought back and will continue to expand their Southeast Ransomware Roadshow Series. It’s a Lunch ‘N Learn style session made convenient for busy professionals. “Hey you gotta eat sometime says Lesilie Leonard, VP of Sales & Marketing. This year we did 4 shows, Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile and Atlanta. We were surprised at the interest level at the time because we really didn’t do everything we needed to in terms of marketing and getting the word out. Nonetheless, the events were were still well attended. Having them at Venues such as Flemings Steakhouse and Ruth’s Chris didn’t hurt either but the first Lunch ‘N Learn for 2018 is actually being held in December 2017 at a different type of venue.” The first event will be held at the Brandon City Hall in Brandon, MS and lunch will be catered-in to make it geographically convenient for attendees.

Kevin Fuller, ThinkGard’s CTO who will be presenting at the sessions said, “We’ve focused this one around the public sector because of the strong interest of the newly formed Mississippi GMIS Chapter, a group of government technology professionals who have expressed interest not only in the topic of preventing ransomware but they hope to grow the local chapter and become more involved with GMIS International, an association of Government/Public Sector IT Leaders who provides it members with enhanced education, development, training and conferences. “This one’s at a City hall instead of a steakhouse but any business executive or IT professional who has an interest in protecting their data is welcome to attend the free events” More Roadshows will be posted soon!
